It’s July, so I’m celebrating Disability Pride Month with another talk on incorporating pride into our practice. Sometimes the disabled experience feels like a juggling act, managing all emotions and nuance of disability. There can be profound sadness alongside feelings of joy, empowerment, and adaptation. This year’s talk focuses on living multi-dimensional experiences and how it all belongs. Navigating grief and pain is just as much a part of Disability Pride as the joy and community.
